Dr. Kump is a dedicated spine surgeon whose extensive training and passion for minimally invasive techniques have made him a valuable asset to the Denver, Colorado medical community.
Dr. Kump completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Utah, earning degrees in both fields with honors. His journey in medicine continued at the same university, where he attended medical school and discovered his passion for spine surgery.
This early exposure to the field fueled his dedication to advancing surgical techniques and patient outcomes. After medical school, Dr. Kump completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of New Mexico.
His commitment to research continues to influence his practice, as he constantly seeks to integrate the latest scientific findings into his treatment plans.
Seeking to deepen his expertise, Dr. Kump pursued further specialization through a fellowship in Spine Surgery at Harvard, where he learned from some of the foremost experts in the field.
This experience equipped him with advanced skills in cutting-edge, minimally invasive procedures designed to enhance recovery and reduce hospital stays.
A member of AO Spine, the North American Spine Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association, Dr. Kump is deeply committed to the evolution of spine care.
He approaches each patient’s case with a thorough understanding of both surgical and nonsurgical options, tailoring treatments to optimize health and improve function.
